The Turkish Cypriot LGBTI NGO, Queer Cyprus is holding its second capacity building training programme of the Diversity of Colours Project for Queer activists.
The programme will be held on Saturday July 13, between 10:00 and 18:00 at Civic Space. The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by Queer Cyprus Association.
The three year project was launched in December 2018 with the slogan ‘‘Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and beyond (LGBTI+), the Diversity of Colours Project for a Cyprus where all colours can coexist!’’ and aims to improve access of the LGBTI community to human rights and to prevent discrimination in the northern part of Cyprus.
Fundraising training will be given by Hatice Kapusuz, Civil Society Development Center – Capacity Building Coordinator. In the first half of the training programme, which will start at 10:00 am, there will be variety of theoretical information about the issues that need to be considered in working with volunteers. In the second half which will be held in the afternoon, activists will put their theoretical knowledge into practice with the guidance of Hatice Kapusuz.
The programme is for Queer Cyprus Association members but is open to everyone wishing to become a member.
